Cuttack: The third version of ‘Ama Balijatra’ app is ready to guide people visiting Bali Jatra, the biggest open-air trade fair of Odisha. The app can be downloaded from Google Play store or from website www.amabalijatra.in from Monday.
Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra has also appealed to the parents to keep their phone number inside the kid’s pocket while visiting the fair, which is being held at Gadagadia Ghat on the banks of Mahanadi near Barabati Fort from November 27 to December 4.

If a child gets lost in the Bali Jatra, the contact number will be helpful in locating the parents, he said while advising them not to take infants, minors and elderly people to the festival in view of the heavy rush.

Around 55-60 platoons police forces will be deployed for Bali Yatra this year and 26 aid posts and five watch towers will be functional throughout the festival. Traffic restrictions will come into force in the city from 2 pm every day during these 8 days. The violators will have to pay a minimum fine of Rs 500 which may be extended up to Rs 1000 per offence.
