Amarendra Nath Mohanty Appointed Director Of Odisha Health Services; Check Other Transfers

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed Dr Amarendra Nath Mohanty as Director of Health Services.

Mohanty earlier served as director of the State Institute of Health & Family Welfare. He has been appointed to the post with immediate effect, according to the May 30 notification issued by Health & Family Welfare Department.

Superintendent of Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Dr Dillip Kumar Panda, will replace him as Director of the State Institute of Health & Family Welfare.

He is among four medical officers, who have also been promoted from Senior Administrative Grade to Super Time Pay Grade in the Odisha Medical & Health Services Cadre on an ad-hoc basis for up to one year, pending OPSC recommendations or their retirement, whichever comes first.

The other three are Dr Sashi Bhusan Patel, Dr Rajashree Pattnaik and Dr Rupabhanu Mishra.

The notification further stated that Dr Patel, formerly Superintendent of Rourkela Government Hospital, has been appointed as Director-cum-Ex-Officio Special Secretary (Technical) in the Health Department.

Dr Pattnaik, Khurda CDM &PHO, has been appointed as Director of Nursing, and Dr Mishra, Puri CDM&PHO, as Director of Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

Additionally, Dr Sujata Rani Mishra, Senior Administrative Grade CDM&PHO in Sambalpur, was promoted to Super Time Pay Grade and appointed as Director of Health Intelligence & Vital Statistics.
