Xiaomi-backed Huami has unveiled two new smartwatches in China. The new smartwatches have electrocardiogram sensor (ECG) and optical heart-rate sensor. These sensors are currently available on Apple Watch 4 and can detect symptoms like atrial fibrillation and arrhythmia.
The Amazfit Smart Watch 2 comes in 3 models. The prices are:
Standard model – RMB 1,000 (approximately Rs 10,100)
With ECG sensor – RMB 1,300 (approximately Rs 13,000)
Avenger Limited Edition model – RMB 1,500 (approximately Rs 15,100)
The Amazfit Smart Watch 2 has a circular 326ppi 1.39-inch OLED panel with Gorilla Glass 3, Snapdragon Wear 2500 chipset, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 420mAh battery, and eSIM with GPS+GLONASS+BeiDou. The watch runs on Amazfit OS and is compatible with both iOS and Android platforms. It has 28 hours battery life on 4G.
The watch’s frame is made of zirconium ceramic and it is water resistance up to 5 ATM.
The Amazfit Health Watch, on the other hand, features a slightly smaller 1.28-inch square display, a 200mAh battery, ECG sensor, optical heart rate sensor and is water resistant up to 3 ATM. It is priced at approximately Rs 7,000.
