Berhampur: An ambulance carrying a tehsildar met an accident on Tuesday.
According to sources, Kanisi tehsildar in Ganjam district had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Tata COVID Hospital, Sitalapalli.
While he was being taken to Cuttack in an ambulance, the vehicle met with an accident near Tangi. The ambulance skidded off the road and turned turtle, the sources said.
However, the tehsildar and others in the ambulance escape without any serious injuries. They were taken to Khallikote community health centre for first-aid and later, shifted to Cuttack in another ambulance.
