Bhubaneswar: Even as relief and restoration work is in progress at the triple train crash site in Bahanaga in Odisha’s Balasore, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued yellow warning for the district and some other areas by 7.30 pm on Saturday.
The IMD forecast light to moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 40- 50 kmph, lightning in some parts of Balasore, Cuttack, Khurda and Jajpur districts.
Warning was also issued for Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather for worsening conditions and be ready to move to safer places protect from lightning strike.
Similarly, the MeT office forecast moderate thunderstorm with hail, gusty wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph, lightning and moderate rain in some parts of Keonjhar by 7 pm.
