Amit Shah Arrives In Odisha To Attend CISF Raising Day Event & Launch Key Projects



Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Bhubaneswar on Friday to attend a series of official programmes across Odisha, including the state capital.

Shah was accorded a warm welcome at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other dignitaries. The Union Minister is slated to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several important projects worth over Rs 3200 crore.

Shah, who was earlier scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneswar on Thursday evening, rescheduled his tour programme and reached her on Friday.

The Union minister will inaugurate 69 projects worth Rs 1,159.03 crore and lay foundation stones for 130 projects, valued at Rs 2,116.06 crore, the official said.

During the visit with packed schedule, the Union Minister is scheduled to attend the 57th Raising Day celebration of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Mundali as the chief guest and inaugurate several develop

ment projects.

The event marks the foundation day of the force and is observed annually with ceremonial proceedings and official addresses.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the campus of the National Forensic Sciences University and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) at Jatni. He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU transit campus.

This apart, Shah will inaugurate the sulphuric acid plant of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited at its Paradip unit. During the visit, he will also inaugurate five major projects across the country with a total expenditure of Rs 889.31 crore.

He is also slated to inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Samhita exhibition at the IDCO Exhibition Ground. The programme will include the laying of foundation stones and the inauguration of projects related to the Cooperation Department and other departments.

Shah is also scheduled to participate in the ‘White Revolution 2.0’ programme, which focuses on boosting dairy production through cooperative services, empowering youth, and supporting farmers.

The Union Minister is slated to return to New Delhi aboard a Border Security Force (BSF) aircraft.
Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been put in place in view of the visit amid traffic restrictions in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
