Amit Shah Rules Out Dialogue With Pakistan Unless Terrorism Ends

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah dismissed any possibility of having dialogue with Pakistan unless it stops terrorism completely.

Addressing a public gathering at poll-bound Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera, he said, “They want us to have a dialogue with Pakistan, but we are not in favour of having a dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism comes to an end.”

He stated that the era of fear in Jammu and Kashmir has ended, highlighting that security has been enhanced under the leadership of the Narendra Modi government.

“Now, bunkers are not needed because no one can dare to fire bullets. ‘Agar wahan see goli aayi to goli ka jawab gole se diya jayega’ (If a bullet is fired from there, it will be met with a shell in return),” he said.

Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir is undergoing a three-page election to elect new members of its legislative assembly. The Home Minister also ruled out any possibility of releasing jailed terrorists.

“They want to free the terrorists from jails, but the Narendra Modi government has buried terrorism very deeply. Any terrorist or stone pelter will not be freed from jail,” he told the gathering.

Shah also rebuked National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for promising to restore Article 370 if he comes to power.
