Bhubaneswar: BJP MP from Odisha capital Aparajita Sarangi will be among the dignitaries who will welcome Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Bhubaneswar airport on his visit to the state on Sunday night.
Shah, who will visit Odisha for the first time after becoming the Home Minister, will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport at around 10 pm. He is scheduled to arrange a number of programmes in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack after visiting Linagaraj temple on Monday morning.
Speaking to media persons in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, Aparajita said, “It is a matter of happiness for the BJP workers of the state to welcome Amit Shah ji. We feel proud to have him among us.”
The MP further said, “Though Parliament is in session, I have come from New Delhi for one day to personally welcome the Union Home Minister. I had met him in New Delhi and submitted my annual performance report. I also invited him to come to Bhubaneswar.”
Stating that all BJP leaders and workers of Odisha are eagerly waiting for Shah’s visit, she said, “He is our guru and guide in politics. We look up to him during any crisis in our political career and he has always given us the right direction to serve the people of the country,” she said.
