Mumbai: Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, are “clinically stable” now.

A source from the Nanavati hospital, where Big B and Junior B are undergoing treatment, told PTI on Monday that the actors are stable after the first line of medication and they do not require any aggressive treatment.

“They both are in the (isolation) ward and are clinically stable. At present, they do not require aggressive treatment. They are okay with the first line of medication. They are being given supportive therapy,” said the source.

“Their vitals and appetite are fine,” added the source.

On Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to reveal that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and been shifted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai.

Later, Abhishek took to Twitter to share that he and his father both have tested positive and they will remain in the hospital until the doctors discharge them.

On Sunday, Aishwarya and her eight-year-old daughter Aaradhya also tested positive for COVID-19. Abhishek shared the news on Twitter and stated that they will be quarantining at home.
