Bhubaneswar: Cyclone Amphan was about 120 km east of Paradip (Odisha), 150 km south-east o Digha and 310 km west southwest of Bangladesh at 10:30 am on Wednesday, according to the latest IMD report.
Its current intensity near centre is 150 to 175 kmph gusting to 190kmph.

The severe cyclonic storm is likely to cross West Bengal-Bangladesh coasts between Digha and Hatiya Islands (Bangladesh) close to Sunderbans. The landfall process will commence from afternoon, the Met office added.
“As per model prediction, cyclone Amphan is heading north resulting in deceleration of wind in Paradip, while wind speed is picking up in Balasore and Bhadrak,” IMD DG, Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said.
