New Delhi: Amul has dedicated its iconic topical to singer Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) who died on Tuesday night, just hours after a high-octane live performance at Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata. On Thursday, Amul shared a monochrome topical on social media along with the caption, “Yaaron…Yaad aayenge ye pal.”
The topical also said, “Alvida, KK. 1968-2022.” In a post shared on the Koo app, Amul said, “Amul Topical: Tribute to popular playback singer.”
Meanwhile, Bollywood’s music fraternity paid their final tribute to KK. Among those who went to his house was Hariharan, Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal, Shankar Mahadevan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Javed Ali, singer-composers Salim Merchant. Filmmakers Vishal Bhardwaj and Kabir Khan were also pictured at KK’s residence.
KK is survived by his wife Jyothy Krishna and kids- Nakul and Taamara.
