Bhubaneswar: As news of 36-year-old Ollywood singer Humane Sagar’s death spread, condolences poured in from all quarters.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his predecessor Naveen Patnaik were among political leaders who expressed their condolences.

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of renowned playback singer Human Sagar. His demise is an irreparable loss to our music and cinema. I convey my condolences to the bereaved family and pray to God for the peace of the departed soul. Om Shanti,” Mohan Majhi wrote in Odia on X.

Former CM Naveen also took to his X handle to pay his tribute.

“Deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Humane Sagar. His soulful music has touched the hearts of countless listeners, and his contributions to Odia music will always remain memorable. Along with praying for the eternal peace of his immortal soul, I convey my condolences to the bereaved family members during this sorrowful time,” Naveen posted in Odia.

Sharing videos of Sagar, BJD leader Lenin Mohanty paid “sincere obeisance to the legend”, and expressed, “Humane Sagar shall always be in our hearts.”
