Mumbai: Chairman of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra tweeted a salute for the late Behram Dhabhar, the man behind the Mahindra Thar who was popularly referred to as “Mr Thar” or “the father of the Thar”.
He described Behram as the most enthusiastic “car guy” at Mahindra and the brain behind the original Thar.
Anand also retweeted photos shared by Behram’s son Cyrus Dhabhar showing Behram with one of the first three prototypes of the first-generation Thar.
Anand mentioned that they need more passionate people like Behram.
Behram passed away in August 2016. He had worked with Premier, Mahindra and Tata, and was also a part of the rallying circuits in India. His son Cyrus is an assistant editor at Autocar India.
The second generation Mahindra Thar was unveiled on August 15 and has created quite a storm.
