Cuttack: In this digital age, when the real Santa is elusive, there is actually a home service for one! If it cheers your children up and brings a smile on their face, why not? All you have to do is dial a number and pay a certain amount according to your budget and lo and behold, Santa comes knocking at your door with a bagful of goodies for your children!
Three friends, Mukesh Agarwal, Dharmesh Mehta and Kaushik Mehta came up with the brilliant idea of starting ‘Santa Service’ after watching something similar on YouTube.
“This year, we got about a 100 calls from people. It is so overwhelming. We started last year just to bring a smile on children’s faces. We first tried out with friends and then through word of mouth and finally, social media. The trend caught up online,” Mukesh said.
The trio hires young boys to dress up as Santa and visit the homes which order for the service. “We bring gifts according to the amount the client pays. However, we do not aim at earning a profit. We just ask for the minimum amount so as to pay the boys who dress up as Santa and also, for the gifts,” Mukesh added.
They take about 10 days to prepare the gifts and move around the city on Christmas as Santa to make everyone happy.
