Andhra CM Jagan Reddy Injured In Stone Pelting During Vijayawada Road Show

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was injured in a stone pelting incident during his bus tour ‘Memantha Siddham’ in the city on Saturday night.

According to media reports, he suffered a small cut on his temple above the left eyebrow while Vijayawada-West legislator Vellampalli Srinivas, who was standing beside him, was hurt in his left eye. Jagan, however, resumed his journey after doctors treated him and confirmed he was not in danger.

“The stone struck the CM while he was acknowledging the crowds as part of his bus tour at Vivekananda School Centre in Singh Nagar, Vijayawada,” said a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The YSRCP leaders blamed TDP for the “attack”.

The PTI report said the stone hit the Andhra chief minister at a very high velocity, and it is being suspected that it could have been launched from a catapult.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to his X account and wished for the Chief Minister’s speedy recovery and good health.
