Sambalpur: Supervisor under Jayantpur sector of Sambalpur district has been caught red-handed by the Vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 13,500 from an anganwadi worker.
The supervisor, Sulochana Arka, had reportedly demanded the money for issue of winter clothing and dry food items for distribution among beneficiaries at Anganwadi Centres.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from Arka, said the Vigilance in a release.
Sambalpur Vigilance has registered a case and investigation is on. Simultaneous searches on properties of Arka are on at two places in Sambalpur district.
