Sonepur: An Anganwadi worker and her helper were dismissed on Friday for throwing hot water on a three-year-old girl two days ago.
The district administration also placed the Anganwadi centre’s supervisor under suspension.
Pritimayi Mahakuma of Jatiapalli village in Sonepur district sustained scald injuries on Tuesday after the helper of an Anganwadi Kendra allegedly poured hot water on her. The girl was first rushed to Sonepur District Headquarters Hospital and is now undergoing treatment at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
