Bhubaneswar: “Anger solves nothing and builds nothing but it can destroy everything. Learning to control our anger and express it appropriately will help us build better relationships,” Sister Savitri, faculty in IT at Mount Abu headquarters of Brahma Kumaris said here on Monday.
Anger is detrimental to one’s mental and physical health and affects performance and productivity at the work place, she said while addressing a seminar on ‘Anger Management’ at the School of Hotel Management, SOA’s (Deemed to be University) faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Keeping one’s anger under control would help achieve goals and lead a healthier and more satisfying life, she said.
“If we allow anger to control us, then it makes us feel as if we are at the mercy of a powerful, unpredictable force,” added Savitri. Sister Savitri also shared a few tips to help cope with anger including relaxation, changing the way of thinking and proper communication.
