Bhadrak: Irate dairy farmers in Odisha’s Bhadrak district poured over 1,200 litres of milk on a road in protest against OMFED. The incident occurred in front of the OMFED plant in Basudevpur block on Friday evening.
According to reports, the OMFED plant authorities had refused to take the milk brought in by the suppliers as it was adulterated. In protest, the dairy farmers locked the plant’s main gate and poured the milk on the road before staging a sit-in dharna at the site.
“We will not supply milk to OMFED from now on and launch an indefinite protest,” an agitating dairy farmer said.
