Bhubaneswar: Dry spell on Friday continued in most parts of Odisha with Angul recording the day’s highest temperature of 43.7 degree Celsius even as some places in northern and south interior regions witnessed light to moderate rainfall.
According to Met office here, while Bhograi in Balasore received 5 mm rainfall, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj registered 3 mm. Maximum day temperature crossed 40 degree in most parts of the state.
The Met office has issued a warning of thunderstorm with lighting and gusty surface wind
speed reaching upto 40-50 kmph at one or two places over north coastal districts including Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Puri, Kandhamal, Ganjam. Heavy rainfall is forecast at one or two places over Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, and Balasore districts.
