Bhubaneswar: Animal Welfare Trust Ekamra (AWTE) has set an example by saving a calf’s life in Infocity of Bhubaneswar.
According to AWTE Chairperson Purabi Patra, a calf was bleeding profusely after being hit by a vehicle. When a passerby saw the injured calf, it was surrounded by around 40 street dogs.
On being informed by the passerby, an AWTE team rushed to the spot, rescued the calf from the dogs and informed the police control room. A police team led by IIC Infocity Biswajit arrived at the spot.
The AWTE team along with the police attended to the calf and left it in a safe building. The police were trying to know the owner of the calf when the report was filed.
