Bhubaneswar: The 68th Annual Function and prize giving ceremony of Capital High School was celebrated with grandeur on Friday. Inaugurating the function, Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner Satyjit Mohanty praised the school for its discipline and management. He also released the new edition of the school magazine ‘Rajadhani’. Mohanty implored the students to involve themselves in the development of the country. He emphasised on the giving exposure to the talent of the students.
Noted writer Dash Benhur was the chief speaker. Former Commissioner of Income Tax Department, Siba Prasad and Pradip Biswal were the guests of honour.
Cine artist Pritiraj Satpathy was also present. Headmistress of the school, Sonamika Ray presented the school’s annual report. The welcome address was given a teacher, Dillip Kumar Tripathy. Students, former students and parents were present, among others.
Meritorious students were awarded on the occasion. There was also a cultural programme.
