Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examination began at 1143 centres in Odisha on Tuesday.
According to sources, the students arrived at their respective centres around 9 am and entered the examination hall at 9.30 am after a two-phase checking by the invigilators at the main gate of the centres and later at the examination hall.
The MIL subject of the Science students began at 10 am and will continue till 1 pm.
The question papers from 202 examination management hubs arrived at the examination centres by 9.30 am.
To check malpractice, CCTV cameras have been installed at all centres this year.
Additional armed police have been deployed at centres in the Maoist-hit districts for smooth conduct of the examinations.
Of a total of 3,50,800 students of 1628 junior colleges, 2,20,437 students are from the Arts stream (Regular-1,92,279 Ex-Regular-20,826 and Distance mode-7332), 97,546 from Science stream (Regular-85,055 and Ex-Regular-12,491), 25,730 from Commerce stream (Regular-23,126 and Ex-Regular-2604) and 7032 are from the Vocational stream (Regular-5767 and Ex-Regular-1265).
