Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examinations in Odisha will begin from March 3, said the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Friday.
While the Science theory examination will be held from March 3 to 28, the Commerce examination will be from March 4 to 26 and the Arts examination from March 4 to 27.
Besides, the Vocational examination will be held from March 20 to 28.
The practical examinations will be conducted from January 27 to February 5.
Briefing the mediapersons, Controller of Examinations of the Council, Bijay Kumar Sahu said a total of 3,49,154 Regular and ex-Regular students of these four streams will appear in the examinations. “More than two lakh students in Arts, 97,536 students in Science, 25,770 students in Commerce and 7017 students in Vocational Education will appear in the examination,” he added.
Stating that the Council has taken all possible measures to curb malpractice, Sahu said instructions have been given to all colleges to install CCTV cameras in the examination rooms. If any college fails to install the CCTV cameras, the students of the concerned college will appear in the nearest examination centre where the CCTV cameras are installed.
