Bhubaneswar: The annual Plus II examinations in Odisha will begin from March 7, said the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in a notification on Thursday.
According to the notification, the first day of the examination in (MIL) Odia is scheduled for students of Science and Commerce while the examination on the same subject is scheduled for Arts students is on March 8.
The theory examination for Arts, Science and Commerce will be held from March 7 to 30.
Prior to the commencement of the theory examinations, the practical examination and project evaluation will be held from January 28 to February 8.
Practical examinations will be conducted for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Computer Application, Statistics, Geography, Geology, Education, Information Technology, Psychology, Anthropology, Indian Music and Home Science. Besides, the project evaluation and viva voce for the Commerce stream and practical examinations for integrated vocational subjects for Arts, Science and Commerce will also be conducted during the period.
The theory and practical examinations will be held as per the programme even if any of the dates is subsequently declared as holiday.
The Council has asked the students to submit their project report along with the mark foils in its office within seven days of completion of the practical examinations. It has also asked the authorities of all residential colleges to submit a video footage of the practical examinations in their respective centres with the practical answer scripts and mark foils in the Council office within seven days from the completion of the practical examinations, the notification added.
