Another 11 CRPF Jawans Test COVID-19 Positive In Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: A total of 11 more CRPF jawans tested COVID-19 positive here on Tuesday.

The infected jawans were part of the 18-member contingent that returned from various states to join their duties. The jawans came from states like Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

Rajesh Vatsa, the commandant of 216 CRPF battalion, informed that all 18 jawans were lodged in a quarantine centre along Khariar Road on their return from native places.

They were subsequently made to undergo rapid antigen tests in which 11 tested positive for the deadly virus. They are admitted to a COVID care facility.

Earlier another 11 CRPF jawans had tested positive for the virus, but all of them have recovered.
