Sambalpur: The Hirakud Dam authorities have again opened 16 sluice gates of the reservoir to release floodwater after the closure of three more gates.
The water level in the dam recorded was 624.25 feet against the optimal storage capacity of 630 feet.
The inflow and outflow of water were recorded at 278345 cusecs/second and 322539 cusecs/second, respectively.
