Jeypore: At a time when there are strong protests by the Opposition over the Nayagarh minor girl kidnap-murder case, report of another six-year-old girl of Koraput district has come to the fore.
The minor girl, daughter of Banguru Pangi of Taupadar village under Pottangi block in Koraput district, has been missing since the last six days. However, a complaint was filed on November 24. She was last seen playing on the verandah of her house on November 21 evening.
Not finding her, family members and relatives searched for her till late in the night and lodged a missing complaint at Pottangi police station the next day.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched a search operation.
After a preliminary investigation, police have detained the father of the girl for interrogation.
