Bhubaneswar: The intra-party squabble in the BJD has again reared its ugly head with another senior leader lashing out at some young leaders for thoroughly misguiding the party.
“There are some wayward young leaders who are out to malign the party only to exercise their authority. The party president should keep himself away from these uncouth leaders,” senior BJD leader Umesh Chandra Swain told mediapersons here on Thursday.
Without taking the names of Pranab Prakash Das (Bobby), Sanjay Dasburma and Arun Sahu, he said that the Chief Minister is unaware of the modus operandi of these wayward leaders who are trying their best to come closer to him. “Considering the present state of affairs, all is not well within the BJD,” he observed.
Trashing Swain’s statement as absurd, BJD leader and president of Jagatsinghpur district Bishnu Das said the former MLA recently had a meeting with the expelled party leader Damodar Rout at Ersama.
