Bhubaneswar: After Bhagirathi Sethi, another BJP candidate, Tusharkanti Behera, joined the ruling BJD in presence of party president Naveen Patnaik here on Tuesday.
The saffron party had repeated Tusharkanti Behera in Kakatpur assembly constituency, where he had unsuccessfully contested the 2014 elections. However, he deserted the party and joined BJD.
Sethi too had resigned from BJP after he was allotted party ticket for Anandapur assembly constituency. He later joined the ruling party, which fielded him from the same assembly seat.
