Rourkela: Friday saw another explosion in a blast furnace, this time at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) in Sundargarh district.
At least four workers suffered severe burn injuries in the mishap. All four were admitted to a local hospital and three among them later shifted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here for better treatment.
According to reports, the explosion occurred due to a suspected gas leakage in the blast furnace of the factory.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the steel plant has constituted a committee to conduct a thorough inquiry into the incident and ascertain the exact reason behind the mishap.
