Cuttack: Yet another coal-laden goods train caught fire near Radhakishorepur station in Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district. No injury to anyone was reported after one of the wagons of the goods train caught fire in the early hours of Sunday, sources said.
Smoke was first detected when the coal-laden goods train was on its way to Khurda from Talcher. The freight train had arrived at the Radhakishorepur station on Saturday night.
While the exact reason behind the fire incident is yet to be ascertained, a team of fire services personnel rushed to the site and doused the flames after a swift firefighting operation.
It may be noted here that a coal-laden goods train had caught fire on Saturday at Rupsa station in Balasore district. Similarly, another goods train carrying coal had also caught fire at Balugaon railway station on Friday night.
