Balangir: A “COVID Warrior” succumbed to the disease in Balangir district on Wednesday.
According to sources, inspector Bijayananda Karkara died of the COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam. He was in charge of the corona control room at Balangir SP office.
Earlier, he was the IIC of Kantabanji police station and worked at Balangir Town police station and Titlagarh police station. He was also associated with social work.
