Bhubaneswar: A 32-year-old man from Kendrapara tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, taking Odisha’s count to 40.
He had returned from Dubai on March 24, the Health and Family Welfare Department has tweeted.
Earlier, a 29-year-old, who worked in Dubai, had tested positive for the virus in Bhdarak district.
Odisha had reported the highest 18 new COVID-19 cases with 16 from Bhubaneswar alone, on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, the Odisha government’s Chief Spokesperson on COVID-19 Suboroto Bagchi had said that 31 cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar, three from Bhadrak and one each from Cuttack, Jajpur and Kalahandi.
The first two patients have recovered and discharged from hospitals, where they were undergoing treatment.
