New Delhi: Expressing outrage over the alleged rape of another Dalit woman in UP’s Balrampur on Thursday, actor-producer Anushka Sharma wondered how “fear” can be instilled in the minds of these “monsters”.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Anushka posted in her stories: “Barely any time has passed and we are hearing of another brutal rape!?! In which world do such monsters think they can do this to a young life. This is beyond comprehension, so distressing! Is there any fear in the minds of such men? How do we as a society put fear in them and protect our women? #NoMercyForRapists #Balrampur.”
Following the gang rape and murder of a 19-year-old Dalit woman in UP’s Hathras, the Balrampur incident sent more shock waves through the nation.
In the latest case, a 22-year-old woman who worked in a private firm, died on way to the hospital after being reportedly gang-raped.
Balrampur Superintendent of Police Dev Ranjan informed that two persons have been arrested.
