Bhubaneswar: In yet another case of an honest auto driver in the recent past in the Odisha capital, the driver returned a bag containing Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone left behind by a passenger.
Simanchala Pradhan of Ganjam district had come to Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar to give Rs 50,000 to his relative but he forgot the bag containing the money and his mobile phone in the auto.
When he realised this, he immediately went to the Nayapalli police station to lodge a complaint. The station Sub-Inspector Rabi Narayan Patra called Simanchala’s mobile number. The auto driver received the phone and asked Pradhan to come to CRP Square to take his money bag. Pradhan went to CRP Square accompanied by police officials.
The auto-driver reached the spot and returned the money bag.
