Another IAS Reshuffle In Odisha; New Officers Appointed Sub-Collectors In Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government carried out another major reshuffle among key IAS officers and appointed many young officers, who returned from training, as sub-collectors in various districts.

The reshuffle comes two days after the state government effected a major bureaucratic change with 49 transfers and appointments.

The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a notification listing a series of appointments and reshuffles across various administrative positions.

As part of the revamp, IAS officer of 2005-batch Rajesh Prabhakar Patil has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Co-operation Department. He will continue to hold additional charges as Special Secretary, Housing & Urban Development, and Chairman, Odisha State Warehousing Corporation.

Similarly, 2009-batch IAS officer Bijay Ketan Upadhyaya continues as Director, Odia Language, Literature & Culture and will also be in charge of Secretary, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department.

Samarth Verma of 2011-batch has been appointed as Director, Minor Minerals, Bhubaneswar. The post is now elevated to the level of Additional Secretary.

Deepankar Mohapatra, an officer of 2014-batch, has been appointed as CEO, Hockey Promotion Council, Odisha. The post is declared equivalent to Joint Secretary.

Preksha Agrawal – Sub-Collector, Dharamgarh (Kalahandi)

Pranita Dash – Sub-Collector, Baliguda (Kandhamal)

Kasturi Panda – Sub-Collector, Panchpir, Karanjia (Mayurbhanj)

Abhishek Dilip Dudhal – Sub-Collector, Gunupur (Rayagada)

Ashni A L – Sub-Collector, Nabarangpur

C. Saravanan – Sub-Collector, Kuchinda (Sambalpur)

Tejaswini Behera – Sub-Collector, Sundargarh

Shiv Malviya – Sub-Collector, Anandpur (Keonjhar)

Avinash Kumar – Sub-Collector, Berhampur (Ganjam)

All appointments are made under Section 14(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, confirming their designation as Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) in their respective jurisdictions.
