Bhubaneswar: With another low pressure area likely to form over Bay of Bengal, the state may receive heavy rainfall around August 9.
According to HR Biswas, Director, Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, another low pressure is likely to develop over west central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal around August 9.
Under the impact of the low pressure, heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Keonjhar in next 24 hours, said Biswas.
Meanwhile, the Met office has issued a yellow warning for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Kendrapara, Kalahandi and Boudh districts which are likely to witness heavy rainfall at one or two places on August 8 and 9.
It has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places over the state in next 24 hours.
