Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Saturday informed that a low-pressure area has formed over the east-central Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea.
“The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level. The system is likely to move towards Bangladesh coast during next 48 hours. A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with the above low-pressure area to Bangladesh across northeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level. Dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha,” it added.
The state is likely to experience rain from November 1.

The Met office further said that there has been no large change in minimum and maximum temperature in Odisha. The minimum temperature remained below normal in South Coastal Odisha while the maximum temperature was above normal in South Coastal and north Interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Talcher and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.4 degree Celcius was recorded at Sonepur in the plains of Odisha.
