Another Minor Girl Dies After ‘Rape And Poisoning’ In Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A minor girl of Nilagiri area in Odisha’s Balasore was allegedly poisoned after being raped by an unidentified man.

The 13-year-old was rushed to a hospital where she died. According to a complaint lodged at Nilagiri police station, she was raped by a miscreant when she went out of her house to meet her parents who work at a brick kiln in the area. Police are on the lookout for the accused on the basis of a complaint filed by the girl’s parents.

The incident comes at a time when the state is on the boil over the brutal kidnap and murder of a five-year-old Nayagarh girl. Pari’s skeletal remains were found in the backyard of her house days after she went missing.
