Bhubaneswar: BJD leader and Bhubaneswar North MLA Susant Kumar Rout has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post on social media, the legislator on Tuesday said that he was under home isolation and his condition was stable.
He requested all those who had come in contact with him in the last few days to get themselves tested.
Susant is the second legislator from the Odisha capital after Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena to have contracted the virus.
On Monday, Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo and Chandbali MLA Byomkesh Ray had informed about having tested positive for COVID-19.

Rural Development Minister Susanta Singh, Nilagiri MLA Sukanta Nayak, Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polsara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhansu Sekhar Parida, Salepur MLA Prasant Behera, BJP MP from Bargarh Suresh Pujari, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick and Bhadrak MP Manjulata Mandal had also been infected.
