Bhubaneswar: In another mishap involving Mo Bus, two persons sustained grievous injuries after being hit by a city bus in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
As per preliminary information, the victims were waiting for an auto-rickshaw at the Master Canteen Square when they were hit by the bus. The injured were identified as Ranjit Behera and Hrudananda Mohanty.
While Ranjit sustained injuries on the right leg, Hrudananda’s shoulder and waist were affected.
They had arrived in Bhubaneswar from Puri by a train and were waiting for an auto-rickshaw when the mishap took place, sources said.
The injured were immediately taken to the Capital Hospital for treatment. Their condition was stated to be stable.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the bus was being driven recklessly. They further accused the bus staff of having assaulted some people at the site after the accident.
The mishap comes close on the heels of the death of two persons after being knocked down by a Mo Bus in Tomando area of the city.
Earlier, two women were seriously injured in Mo Bus accident in Chandrasekharpur area in Bhubaneswar on February 6.
