Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 15 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the affected tally to 377.
According to an I & PR department tweet, one more positive case was detected in Jajpur, seven more in Ganjam, two each in Puri and Angul. Boudh reported its maiden case with three Surat returnees testing positive for the virus, which has now spread to 21 districts in the state.
Earlier in the day, four from Jajpur and six from Bhadrak had tested corona positive.

All cases in Bhadrak, Ganjam, Angul and Boud are linked to Surat. The two in Puri are West Bengal returnees, while among five patients in Jajpur, two are Surat returnees, as many previous contacts of Bengal cases and one Bengal returnee.
Puri had reported its first case on April 3 and it after a gap of nearly five weeks that two more positive cases were detected in the district, which now has 2 active cases with one having recovered.
Ganjam now has 124 active cases with one death, Jajpur has 58 cases with two having fully cured of the disease. The total number of cases in Bhadrak is 31, which includes 12 recoveries. Angul and Boudh are the new entrants to the COVID map of Odisha and they have 15 and 3 positive cases respectively.

On Saturday, Angul had reported 13 corona positive cases. Among them, 11 are Surat returnees, one from Maharashtra and another a local, according to an I & PR department tweet.
