Baripada: Odisha lost another journalist to COVID-19 on Saturday. Reporter of a private news channel Asit Behera succumbed to the deadly virus while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Baripada. He was 46.
A resident of Teranti village under Sukruli block of Mayurbhanj district, he was working for Kanak News from Karanjia.
According to sources, he was admitted to the hospital after testing positive and had been undergoing treatment for the past 10 days. He breathed his last at 6.15 am.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
With this, three journalists have died to COVID-19 in the last three days.

Odisha has this far lost at least 33 journalists due to COVID during its second wave this year. At least four others had succumbed to the disease last year.
