Nuapada: The Opposition continued to mount egg attacks with Padmanabha Behera becoming the latest victim on Tuesday.
According to sources, protesting BJP workers waved black flags and hurled eggs at the Transport Minister’s vehicle at Taraboda while demanding Dibya Shankar Mishra’s resignation for his alleged complicity in the Mamita murder case.
On Monday, three ministers in Naveen Patnaik-led government had faced a flurry of egg attacks as the Opposition intensified its protests during the Chief Minister’s visit to Odisha’s Kalahandi.
While BJP and Congress workers waved black flags and hurled eggs at Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu’s car at Narla, Labour Minister Susanta Singh faced similar protests at Jaipatna. Tourism Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi’s vehicle was pelted with eggs by protesters near Pandigaon while he was returning from a programme at Kalampur.
