Balangir: A woman delivered a baby girl in the presence of Railway Divisional Medical Officer in a Shramik Special train at Titlagarh railway station on Sunday.
The woman has been identified as Hema Kanti, a resident of Balangir.
According to ECoR sources, Hema along with other Odia migrant workers was travelling from Kazipet in Telangana to Balangir in the train when she developed labour pain. Following which, the train was halted at Titlagarh railway station, where she delivered the baby.
Hema and her baby were then shifted to a government hospital in a Janani Ambulance and their condition was stated to be stable, the sources added.
This is the second such delivery case in a train in Odisha in less than 48 hours.
A 35-year-old woman from Odisha had delivered a baby boy in Secunderabad-Balangir Shramik Special train on May 22.
Meanwhile, 21 Shramik Special trains from nine different places are expected to reach Odisha on Sunday.
