Boudh: Another teacher of a government high school has been punished for alleged violating the model code of conduct by participating in political activity ahead of the twin elections in Odisha.
As per reports, Govardhan Pradhan, posted at the Tribal High School in Kantamal Assembly constituency in Boudh district, has been transferred over his alleged involvement in political activity ahead of the twin polls in the state.
Sources said Pradhan has been transferred to Mathura Panchayat High School in the Boudh constituency in the district.
After confirmation of the allegation against the teacher, the Boudh Collector and District Election Officer directed the District Education Officer (DEO) to take action against the accused on April 13.
Earlier, a woman teacher of Dahya Government Nodal High School in the district was suspended for participating in an election rally organised by a political party. Assistant teacher Sanghamitra Mallick was placed under suspension last week after she was found guilty.
