Another Security Breach! Photo Of Puri Jagannath Temple’s Sanctum Sanctorum Goes Viral Again



Puri: A photograph the ‘Ratna Singhasan’ inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Odisha’s Puri has gone viral on social media, once again raising serious questions over the security measures at the 12th century shrine.

While there has been a ban on photography inside the shrine and carrying of mobile phones and cameras into the temple complex, the viral image purportedly shows Lord Jagannath and siblings on the Ratna Singhasan. The photo appears to have been take

n from very close range.

As per information, the photo was uploaded on Instagram by a user identified with his username as ‘Ashirbad945’ and later shared as a status post.

The viral post has triggered concerns over how a mobile phone or camera could to enter the highly restricted inner precincts of the temple despite multiple layers of security and repeated advisories prohibiting electronic devices. The incident has sparked outrage among servitors, devotees and the public.

As similar incidents have been taking place at regular intervals, the fresh breach has raised concerns about the safety and security of the sacred site.
It is yet to be ascertained under which circumstances the accused person managed to enter the temple premises with his smartphone.

Devotees have demanded a thorough investigation to find out how the photograph was taken and who is responsible for the breach.
