Bhubaneswar: A day after a prostitution racket was busted in Gajapati Nagar, police uncovered a high-profile sex racket running in guise of a spa at Bapuji Nagar here on Saturday.
Seven persons were arrested from the spot and eight Thai women rescued.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid on the spa from where the sex racket was being operated.
A number of objectionable items were recovered from the spot during the raid.
The illegal activity was undergoing at this place for the last a couple of months, police sources informed.
On Friday, the special squad of Commissionerate Police had busted a sex racket at Gajapati Nagar and rescued three girls, besides taking three youths into custody.
On May 9, a similar prostitution racket was also busted by the Quick Response Team (QAT) of Commissionerate Police at a guest house in Nayapalli area. Three girls were rescued and seven customers arrested during the raid.
