Bhubaneswar: The Odisha capital reported another spike in COVID-19 cases on Saturday with 171 more people testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The city had seen 150 fresh infections on Friday and 108 on Thursday.
According to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 126 of the new cases are local contacts and 45 from quarantine.
Among the local contacts, 16 cases have been reported from Khandagiri and 11 from Delta Square.
Six cases each are from Old Town, Patia and Tankapani Road, followed by five each from Chandrasekharpur, Patrapada and Nayapalli.
Of the quarantine cases, BJB Nagar registered the highest of eight patients, followed by seven in Old Town.
With 53 more patients getting cured of the infection in the last 24 hours, the city now has 883 active cases.
The affected tally in the city has touched 33,364.
